Question by curtdbz: What happens if you take Ritalin when you do not have ADD? What about caffeine and Ritalin?
I heard that if you dont have ADD and you take Ritalin, it has the opposite effect on you. Is this true? What exactly are the effects? Also, what are the effects of taking Ritalin and Caffeine? Thank you so much

You are already reflecting exceptionally good common sense. You should ask your doctor or pharmacist about this. You definitely don’t want to take anything that may cause you harm. Try to get an alternative for the “ritalin” as well. Whatever you do, refuse the “Prozac” if it comes up in the discussion because it has caused the calmest people to “commit suicide.” Also, read any material from “real ” alternative doctors such as Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. Cass Ingram. They have gotten a lot of flack from the medical community because they don’t “play around” with people. They actually have “positive” helpful information that cures folk. Ritalin is the common name for methylphenidate, classified by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) as a Scedule ll narcotic – the same classification as cocaine, morphine and amphetamines.
It is used (abused) by teens for its stimulant effects.
While unrestricted distribution of this powerful stimulant is
illegal, these substances are freely available.
Common street name ” Kiddie Cocaine”
Ritalin is now acknowledged as an “emerging” drug in the substance abuse scene.
Taking caffiene (a mild stimulant) with it will amplify it’s effects which include :
Short Term… nervousness , insomnia, pulse cganges and heart problems. May cause hallucinations, suicidal thoughts, psychotic behaviour, also aggression and violence.
Risks would increase with quanity ingested and method of
ingestion.

Long Term: Methylphenidate is a drug of dependency.
Children on stimulant medications have twice the future rate of drug abuse.
Causes irreversable damage to the blood vessels of the heart, and brain, liver, kidney and lung damage.
Malnutrition, weight loss, disorientation. Children may also develope anorexia from use .

A Texas researcher found in a recent study that after only 3 months of methylphendate use, every one of the 12 cghidren treated developed genetic abnormalities.
