@lucky7balls I care about whether or not people believe things that are true and have good reason to hold those beliefs because if they make important decisions based on fallacious reasoning and inaccurate or incorrect beliefs it has a negative impact on their lives and the lives of everyone around? them. You have no right to pretend you’re standing on moral high ground here; believers are not the only people capable of having compassion and concern for their fellow human beings.

@Snipe4261 So trolling christian comment sections and attacking random christians on Youtube is your most effective tool at showing compassion and concern.? Wow. I don’t pretend. I am the most sinful, wicked and evil person I know. the most important thing I can do daily is to draw a big circle around myself and fix me. Leaving snide comments and then attacking someone who stands up for his beliefs isn’t very mature.

@lucky7balls When someones beliefs are based on faith there’s little else that can be done to make them understand that they are being completely irrational outside of ridiculing those beliefs. Just because you feel strongly about something that doesn’t mean you’re opinions are worthy of respect, and? in the case of faith it’s such a repugnant concept that it’s worthy of no more than the utter contempt of all rational people everywhere. BTW, I didn’t choose to start this conversation – you did.

@lucky7balls The argument from popularity is a logical fallacy and doesn’t even begin to prove the existence of god e.g. in antiquity the vast majority of people thought the earth was flat and that the? sun orbited the earth. Just because its a popular belief that doesn’t mean its more likely to be true.
The idea that I somehow worship myself or want to be god just because I don’t share your god belief is a non sequitur.
Ironic, you remind me of myself before I grew up as well.

@Snipe4261 Faith in God is not a popularity contest. In fact, it is much harder to have faith in something not seen than it is to discount its existence. PRESUPPOSITIONALIST, FIRST CAUSE ARGUMENT ,ONTOLOGICAL ARGUMENT ,Our universe contains too much order for our existence to have been created out of chaos. We are complex beyond our imaginations and when you look at such a complexity, you see God and His creation. You don’t have to share my beliefs.? It’s not about you or I.

@lucky7balls You’re the one who brought up the popularity argument.
My point is that faith, because its a concept diametrically opposed to knowledge, is the worst possible method for determining the the truth. Faith is, by its very nature, a bad reason to believe something. Having very strong faith is seen by believers as having very strong character (I should? know, I’ve been there) but the truth is the strength of your faith is just the degree to which you can be manipulated by others.
