Day Time=Secretary for a Substance Abuse Counseling Agency; Night Time: Cocktail Waitress–to Do It or Not To?

I work for a counseling agency that specializes in court ordered counseling–if you get a DUI you get substance abuse counseling, if you hit your wife, you get domestic violence counseling, if you are heard yelling and the neighbors report you, you get anger management counseling. That’s it.

My boss is very stuck on morals and loyalty. He turned down soooooo much money when he quit his old job b/c he found out his boss was smoking crack and counseling people.

He tells clients that it’s okay to party and have a good time but if you’re drinking have someone else drive.

So I’m really wondering if he’d be okay with me being a cocktail waitress. It sounds like he is tellin gthem it’s okay to drink but just do it responsibly. So it would be up to them to drink responsibly and I shouldn’t feel guilt for serving alcohol–right?

Shouln’t be a problem. Smoking crack is illegal. Selling, serving, and consuming alcohol is legal. I don’t even think there is a convincing argument that alcohol is immoral. If he has a problem with it, who cares? If he fires you for having a completely legal second job, he’s a raging hypocrite.
