Why Is Cannabis So Popular With Teenagers?

Question by Moses: why is cannabis so popular with teenagers?
Every group of young people with not much to do, turn to the drug.
Is “green” so popular because it is a hallucinogen that is seen by users as “harmless”. Do these same people know the long term psychological effects of “weed” on the brain?

Many people seek to legalize the substance. Does this mean that other illegal drugs in the same drug classification B should be declassified, Bearing in mind others are just as serious and are known as the methamphetamine,”crystal meth” and “speed”?

BECAUSE WE TEENAGERS WANT TO REBEL… I BET IF YOU TOLD US TO SMOKE SOME WEED, IT WOULD CUT DOWN THE PERCENTAGE OF TEENS ON WEED BY 50%!!!!!!!

Answer by That_Guy
1.weed is not a hallucinogen.
2. weed is not just popular among “young people with not much to do”.
3. comparing meth to weed is just plain stupid. they are nothing alike and its obvious that meth is FAR more destructive and poses a far greater risk to the users health and and society. and in reality, weed really isnt that bad at all. and probably 98% of all the risks it poses are not because of the drug itself, but because of the harmful effects of smoking. its not physically addictive, you cant overdose on it, so whats the problem?
