Question by ?: is taking medication for mental health like cheating nature?
Someone on another site believes that its true and that people with “mental health issues” that they weren’t born with should be strong enough to control those issues.

no it isn’t – it is no different to taking antibiotics when needed or having your arm in plaster if you have broken it, or pain relief if you have a headache. Having mental health issues has nothing to do with being strong or weak

That is like saying a house or a roof over your head is cheating nature! A roof is not natural, should we be strong enough to live open to the elements?
Our mind is natural and it is our great gift to have intelligence that allows us to manipulate the world around us, and even our mind itself!
Using out mind to solve problems is as natural as a bird flying or a fish swimming.
