Is an Occasional “fast” Day Good for a Diet?

Question by Green Today: Is an occasional “fast” day good for a diet?
Is it okay, or even a good idea, to have a day once in a while (maybe 1 every month or two) where you don’t eat anything except for a couple pieces of fruit & water? To flush out the toxins & somewhat detox your body?

yes it can be but you have to drink lots of water and make sure the next day you don’t over do it as you can put on weight fast that way. Be careful not to do it too many times as it can be bad to yo-yo up and down in weight xx

Answer by sushi
No – flushing out toxins requires water and fibre – fruit isn’t enough, vegetables is a must at least.

Fasting usually shocks the body, the more often you do it, the harder it is to lose weight afterwards. That’s why anorexic bodies are damaged from fasting, the body will always from that point on, gain weight from food.
