Can You Name Some Colleges That Don’t Have a Drinking Culture?
Question by levarfan: Can you name some colleges that don’t have a drinking culture?
A friend of mine is a junior in high school. He has experienced a lot of upheaval in his life due to alcohol abuse by his parents, and he really would like to go to a college where the social atmosphere isn’t dominated by alcohol. He is a good student, and could get into a competitive college but probably not “most competitive”. Undoubtedly there is alcohol use and abuse everywhere, but we have heard from many current college students that it would be hard to be part of the social life of the college without drinking. Are there any colleges where this is not so prevalant?
He is primarily interested in colleges in the US or Canada.
