Well, because of some swearing, and if you notice, the girl (i forgot here name) dancing as a prostitue and she is under 18 and Salim kicks out Jamal in order to have sex with the girl, and again under 18. Hope it helps :D

i guess the violence in it…it shows a scene where the rival between muslims and hindus causes a bloodbath and there a number of scenes where shooting takes place but it’s a really good movie. i loved it! i feel like the ratings are just to warn ppl and a lot of times don’t deserve the ratings that they get.
