Question by Ryan lee: How to make my dad to stop drinking liquor?
Every night, my dad together with his comrades would meet and buy alcoholic liquids. There is no time that they would not drink. i would said to him to stop. he stop for a night but the next few days again he would again take a cup or two of beer. If he would keep this, he might get diseases and depictions! How could I save my dads life?

Ryan, this is a tough question.

I don’t know how old you are and if you have relatives close to you.

It usually takes several people to do an “intervention” to get someone to seek treatment, if he truly has a drinking problem.

If he only has a beer or two with his friends then he probably thinks you are being silly. If he drinks one or two cups of beer per day it is not likely that he will develop alcohol related diseases unless he is a diabetic or has other conditions.

If he has one or two beers per day and that really bothers you then you need to tell him how you feel about his drinking. Telling him to stop won’t work. You need to have a man to man talk with him and listen to his side. If he won’t talk man to man with you about this, then you might ask one of your teachers or the guidance counselor at your school for advice.
