Because there are several centers out there with the name it is difficult to give a specific answer to this question.
But basically people cannot change what they don’t acknowledge, so if a doctor refers a person to a rehab program, please do an intervention with the help of family and friends before entering the program.
If the person going to the program is juvenile make sure that you have done a family conference at home before leaving. Do not hire a transport company. You will only risk having a child returning with PTSD. So while curing the addiction you will have another problem to face.
Second of all. Avoid programs using 12 steps if the person going to the program doesn’t recognize the problem. Especially if we are talking about a minor. If the person is not yourself you cannot for sure know how bad the problem is and you risk that the person becomes an abuser just by being forced through the first step and listening to the problems from the rest of the group during group therapy. It is something by taking on an identity. Youth seek identities all the time. If the youth takes on an identity as an addicted person you can be sure that it will result in a relapse at some point.
