I’m sick of people saying it’s not a disease. It’s as much as of a disease as cancer is. This whole conflict started when I was on a website. The girl was saying that she hates alcholics. I got very offened because my step dad was an alcholic, I left comments in her comment box complaining about it.

So tell me.. Alcholism IS a disease, right?

My step dad DID get help. He went to rehab and a support group. You’re born an alcoholic, as you are with cancer. People aren’t like “Oh, I’m so cool, I’m an alcoholic!!” Alcoholism could’ve caused his death, but I really don’t know.

Eventually, everyone will drink. But the thing is that alcoholics CAN NOT stop.

You’re the only one so far with this oppinion. If being an alcoholic isn’t a disease, then what is it then, hmm?
