Anxiety and Stomach Problems!!!!(People Familiar With Anxiety Only).?

Question by Jinm: Anxiety and stomach problems!!!!(people familiar with anxiety only).?
I know that usually anxiety causes stomach problems but sometime I think that my sensitive stomach causes anxiety. Like before I started taking an antidepressant I started to have really bad anxiety and it caused me constant stomach upset and pain. Most ADs made it worse until I got on cymbalta but only after loosing 40 pds. Gradually I got much better and gained the weight back. After a year I was ready to get off and it’s now been 2 weeks but slowly the same symptoms in my stomach are returning and it seems like they are causing me to have anxiety and bad feelings and thoughts, nervousness and impatience. Especially when I’m hungry or feel full. The actual question is can anyone relate to this at all???
I’ve been to the GI many times and they can’t find anything wrong(I don’t think they can see a nervous stomach with any testings). So can a nervous stomach cause anxiety or is just my anxiety returning. My life is really going great now and I really can’t imagine why it would return
The reason why I stopped it is because The AD is causing me to overeat and gain weight nonstop. It’s also causing sever constipation.

Get a psych…. they can manage the probems. Stress can cause pain.

Cymbalta worked wonders for me.

Learn to stop worrying. Worrying is a bad habit, you need to overcome it like any other bad habit. Try to modify the factors under your control, that is the only thing you can do. From http://mshn.org/worry.html
