Anxiety and Stomach Problems!!!!(People Familiar With Anxiety Only).?

Question by Jinm: Anxiety and stomach problems!!!!(people familiar with anxiety only).?
I know that usually anxiety causes stomach problems but sometime I think that my sensitive stomach causes anxiety. Like before I started taking an antidepressant I started to have really bad anxiety and it caused me constant stomach upset and pain. Most ADs made it worse until I got on cymbalta but only after loosing 40 pds. Gradually I got much better and gained the weight back. After a year I was ready to get off and it’s now been 2 weeks but slowly the same symptoms in my stomach are returning and it seems like they are causing me to have anxiety and bad feelings and thoughts, nervousness and impatience. Especially when I’m hungry or feel full. The actual question is can anyone relate to this at all???
I’ve been to the GI many times and they can’t find anything wrong(I don’t think they can see a nervous stomach with any testings). So can a nervous stomach cause anxiety or is just my anxiety returning. My life is really going great now and I really can’t imagine why it would return
The reason why I stopped it is because The AD is causing me to overeat and gain weight nonstop. It’s also causing sever constipation.

What Are Mental Health Facilities Like?

Question by J.Taylor: What are mental health facilities like?
What do they look like and what do the patients do there? And how do they get there? Does their doctor recommend them? How long do they stay there?

Does thereapy really help? I heard it doesn’t and just makes patients worse. Do mental facilities really brainwash you? If so, how?

Best answer:

Answer by Chris, Appointmentlink.com
Mental health facilities are often near or even on the premises of a hospital and resemble hospitals because mental health is a medical issue. I feel that many people go to mental health facilities in the same manner they go to the dentist. Some people can recognize early when they are having a tooth problem and seek help right away at the dentist, some people ignore the problem until all their teeth fall out or an ambulance brings them to a hospital for emergency medical treatment. It truly seems like people can understand dental pain but when the pain is in their brain they let that excruciating pain continue, untreated, until their mental health becomes an emergency.
