Adolescent Mental Health Question?

Question by Steve S: Adolescent Mental Health Question?
My son is currently inpatient at St Lukes Behavioral Center in Phoenix. He had a breakdown last Tuesday. His tox screen came up positive for marijuana and nothing else. His Dr. is now saying that he probably had a “marijuana induced breakdown”. He had been acting strangely for days before the actual breakdown. His mothers side of the family has a history of chemical imbalance. I am wondering if the Dr. is just phoning this in at this point and blaming the marijuana.
If anyone has any insight, please let me know. I can add to this if you have any questions. Thanks in advance.

I have never heard of a marijuana induced breakdown. Do some research and see if it is real.
