I Am in a Program With Troubled/at Risk Youth… Are They Weird or Is It Just Me?
Question by tom1jay: I am in a program with troubled/at risk youth… are they weird or is it just me?
I am in this program called YouthBuild for at risk youth. All the particapants seem so weird. They’re constantly swearing, teasing each other, talking about partying, how many girls they banged, how many girls they played blah blah. Theyre all lazy and try to get away with working as much as possible. When someone is doing their job, and someone compliments them, the others make sarcastic comments. They nit pick for no reason. They are filled with drama. I have been in the program for 9 months and at first I thought they were nuts because I am not trouble but I dropped out of school. I am starting to believe that I am the crazy one. The construction supervisor is a people pleaser and tells people what they wanna hear and will take everyones side of a story and its crazy. Is this the working world or is it because these are young adults with troubled pasts?
Theres one kid that has a friend with him in the program. They both live together and follow each other everywhere. One is physcotic and is happy the next, mad the next, sarcastic one minute, and then will do crazy things and diss everyone. Then his friend is conceited and acts like this really friendly fake person and thinks hes all that. They both gossip secretly about everyone and the fake one is HUGe on it too.. but hides it. Then you have one, who has ADHD and constantly tries to be intelligent and thinks he has all the answers in the world. You cant have a normal convo with him because he never talks about normal things unless its something you wanna know and he’ll act like he knows it all. He also sucks his thumb LOL. I swear he has aspergers syndrome or something. Then theres another guy that has a horrible attitude about things and doesnt care. He gets jealous very easily and you have to watch what you say or he’ll get really sarcastic but in a calm way.
The construction supervisor takes a few guys over 21 and they go up north and get drunk. The supervisor will buy them beer while they do work on his cabin. This way he doesnt have to pay them and he just buys them alcohol in return for their work. One guy has a really bad attitude but is a good worker. He gets really mad if he does something wrong and has to redo it… he’ll snap ur head off.
Psychiatrists: Are They Suppose to Counsel or Just Diagnose and Prescribe?
Question by Wo: Psychiatrists: are they suppose to counsel or just diagnose and prescribe?
Hi. I have been dealing with what was diagnosed as Major Depression, plus a couple of anxiety disorders (diagnosed by a psychiatrist).
I chose to seek treatment with said psychiatrist because I knew that I needed a prescription and that most psychologists can’t prescrible to patients.
Holistic Tinnitus Treatment?
Question by Miguel: Holistic Tinnitus Treatment?
This annoying sound has been in my ears for 2 months. It will be very annoying if I don’t take the act to cure it. But I don’t know what treatment is best. I prefer holistic or natural treatment to drugs or maybe surgery. I need to overcome this problem ASAP. Please help.

Tinnitus* involves the annoying sensation of hearing sound when no external sound is present. Tinnitus symptoms include these types of phantom noises in your ears:
Ringing
Buzzing
Roaring
Clicking
Whistling
Hissing
The phantom noise may vary in pitch from a low roar to a high squeal, and you may hear it in one or both ears. In some cases, the sound can be so loud it can interfere with your ability to concentrate or hear actual sound. Tinnitus may be present all the time, or it may come and go.
