Cheap or Free Alcohol Treatment?
Question by Sarah L: Cheap or free alcohol treatment?
My mother is a serious alcoholic. Shes been drinking since she was 13 and she is 50 yrs old now. She drinks at least 3 bottles of wine a day. She has no medical insurance and can’t afford rehab. She needs help ASAP. I’m taking her to meetins 3 times a week but they are no help because everyone in the class has already quit, my mother is the only one who is still using.

Answer by Boots McGraw
Try the Salvation Army. They deal with helping the homeless with alcohol problems; and the homeless don’t have insurance or money for rehab, either.
A word of warning, please. YOU can’t help your mother. If she doesn’t do this on her own initiative, no suggestions we give here will work. Otherwise, she will not quit drinking until incarceration, insanity, or interment force her to quit.

What Are the Different Kinds of Drug Treatment Programs?
Question by dolores df: What are the different kinds of drug treatment programs?
I would just like to know what they’re called. Just out of curiosity, that is.

Answer by blair *
Well, it really depends upon the drug rehab or treatment center. I guess you’d have to contact them to know what kind of program they are offering. To appease your curiosity, though, here are some kinds of treatment programs: Narcotic Antagonist Treatment Using Naltrexone, Agonist Maintenance Treatments, Short-Term Residential Programs, Outpatient Drug-Free Treatment, Long-Term Residential Treatment, Medical Detoxification and Treating Criminal Justice-Involved Drug Abusers and Addicts.
I hope that helps. :)
