In methadone treatment is it common to experience intense, scary dreams? the dreams are very vivid and frightening, but they arent user dreams. My counselor says it isnt a side effect of methadone, but many methadone websites say it can be. Any personal experience with this?

If you are experiencing intense scary dreams, it may be related to the sub-conscious mind where u levelled with your past experience. You should discuss about that further with your counsellor.

For side effects, it is best to consult your doctor, although websites offer information, your doctor is the best person to know whether it is a side effect of the treatment he/she is administering on you.

You’re such a good friend. Keep supporting your Zach regarding his battle with cocaine addiction. I think there are treatment programs almost everywhere so there’s probably one near Owyhee. I found this site containing a list of rehab facilities which offer treatment programs. You should check it out. Good luck to the both of you.
