Here’s a list of signs and symptoms that you can look for in people that are using drugs. You can also substitute alcohol in most situations. =)

* Continuing to use drugs even though you have health problems that are affected or caused by your drug use
* Irritability, anger, hostility, fatigue, agitation, anxiety, depression, psychosis (seeing or hearing things that are not there), lack of coordination, difficulty concentrating
* Paying bills late, collection agencies calling, inability to keep track of your money
* Being arrested, doing things that you would normally not do, such as stealing to obtain drugs
* Continuing to use drugs even though you realize your job or education is in jeopardy
* Missing work or school, or going in late due to drug use
* Feeling annoyed when other people comment on, or criticize your use of drugs
* Feeling remorse or guilt after using drugs
* Associating with questionable acquaintances or frequenting out of the ordinary locations to purchase or use drugs
* Scheduling your day around using drugs
* Focusing recreational activities around obtaining drugs, using drugs, or recovering from drug use
* Using drugs when alone

a lot of people are saying they won’t take the drug test b/c they can sue the nursing home b/c there has to be a valid policy in order to do test us and there isn’t one.. it wasn’t even mentioned during my interview, orientation, or any papers i signed..

What Are Drug Interventions For?

Question by annmarie n: What are drug interventions for?
And what are intervention specialists?

Best answer:

Answer by aja 3xs
Drug interventions may be done for a variety of reasons. The common main goal is to get the addict to acquiesce to getting treatment for his addiction. For the government of some, drug interventions can be used as a strategy to tackle drugs and reduce the crime rate. Intervention specialists are those who facilitate the interventions. They form a meeting with the patient as well as the patient’s family members and close friends, and try to convince the patient to get himself treated. This can also pave the way to the family members and friends’ acceptance of the situation and help them deal with the ordeal of having a loved one go through all that is to come.
