Loss of Appetite, Even the Thought of Eating Makes Me Sick?
Question by : Loss of appetite, even the thought of eating makes me sick?
Let me start out by saying that:
I have anxiety problems, which is probably playing a part in this. (ocd, ptsd (long story), social anxiety, and generalized anxiety, apparently. .___. )
I have irritable bowel syndrome, and I’m emetophobic and get nauseous veeerrryyy easily.
And yes, I’m taking medicine for these conditions because I really don’t want them to control my life, but on to the point:
I’ve recently been through quite a bit of emotional drama, it’s just kind of been like one thing piling on after another, and for a while there I pretty much lost my appetite entirely. As stated in the title, even the thought of eating or the thought of food in general makes me sick to my stomach. I know that “starving” myself isn’t healthy, and I don’t want to get an eating disorder (but I also don’t want to have to force feed myself), so what should I do to be healthy again?
Thanks! c:

What Other Help for Alcohol Abuse Is There Other Than AA?

I have been to AA before and I just can’t really affiliate. Maybe its the groups that I met with but I just didn’t find anyone that I could really affiliate with.

I have heard of a group called Rational Recovery that uses a model that is different than the 12-step model, and does not base recovery on any need or dependence on a higher power or god. It is not as common as AA so might be harder to find groups but if you live in a decent-sized town, you will probably be able to find one.
I just looked at their site, I guess they don’t have “groups” but they have lots of helpful info on the site. Good luck!
