Question by bvfarrington: my sons ex-girlfriend reported that i am unsafe to be around my grandsons, i haven’t heard a thing from?
dhs about being investigated.she said i misuse my medications and could be a harmful to them. what she’s doing is punishing me for losing her family from her own drug problems. my son has had custody for the past four yrs. when the second baby was born in 2007 he had meth and thc in him. she went to so called “rehab” and got pissed at me and said she would rather have her kids in foster care then for them to ever be with me again. i always was on her side trying to keep their family together. i’ve contacted dhs and have gotten no response. my grandbabies were here with my son last night and they cried because they couldn’t hang out with grandma. anyboby have any good ideas on how to approach this or know of some other thoughts that i would like to do with her. thanks

Doctors recommend strength training for youth. It improves athletic performance and helps prevent injury.
Various medical websites have articles on this. For example, see the following statement linked from the Cleveland Clinic:
“Despite the previously held belief that strength training was unsafe and ineffective for children, health organizations such as the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) now “support children’s participation in appropriately designed and competently supervised strength training programs.”
