What Companies and Businesses Will Donate Money to Church Fundraiser?
Question by simply.sondra.: What companies and businesses will donate money to church fundraiser?
My church, Wave church http://www.wavechurch.com/ specifically “Soul central young adult” and “Soul central youth” are raising money for a community service program called “Action Day.” We’re going to be fixing up a local elementary school “Woodstock elementary” and funding other local community service projects throughout the year and I was wondering what businesses/companies would be interested in donating money and how I go about all that. It is a tax deductible donation, so it can be written off your taxes.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

You get OFFICIAL fund donation papers from your organization and a description on paper of the project and with a few other people ( 3 is the best #) with ONE person (take turns per business) doing the talking, just enter every business on a block and ASK THEM politely for donations. Make many copies of the project paper and leave one with anyone you talk to. If it has contact information on it the people who refuse MAY change their mind or give it to someone else who will donate.
Survey About Marijuana?
Question by A: Survey about Marijuana?
I’m doing a final project for my class and had an opinion poll that I wanted to ask anyone who would like to participate:
1) Have you ever used marijuana?
2) Have you ever committed a crime, misdemeanor or felony?
3) Do you believe marijuana can be used as a mental and/or physical healing agent?
4) Do you continue to use marijuana? If so, how long have you used it? If not, how long did you use it?
5) Do you believe alcohol or marijuana is more dangerous?
6) Do you support the legalization of marijuana?
If you could help me out on this I’d really appreciate it. If you don’t feel comfortable asking one or more of the questions, then just leave them blank or put N/A and if you haven’t used marijuana, just put N/A for #4 as well, thanks!

How Is a 14 Year Old Supposed to Act?
Question by Lauren: How is a 14 year old supposed to act?
im 13, but i turn 14 next month. most kids my age cant wait to be older… but i can. while youre younger, its going to be a lot easier than when you have to do things all by yourself. dont get me wrong, i want to grow up and be a lawyer or something along those lines, but i feel like after i turn 14, i wont be a kid anymore. i still want to be my parent’s princess but i feel like they’ll treat me differently .. im going to highschool soon. 4 more years and i’ll be out the house. i guess i really dont want to grow up so fast cause i know im gonna miss everything.i feel like people wont be as nice to me.. and assume im just a “trouble making teenager” . i dont even know how a 14 year old is supposed to act. i mean i do my chores, and im nice to people, but i know high school is gonna be very different. im scared but i dont know what im scared of.

Yeah, one of my guy friends used to cut himself. He had and still does have a lot of problems, his parents just don’t understand him… when he would have big fights with them he would cut himself, but when they found out they put him in theraphy, and since he’s been able to talk about what’s going on, he stopped.

Obama: Does Hiring Youth to Lobby a Council for More Money for Youth Hiring Make Sense?
by UK in Israel
Question by RLP: Obama: Does hiring youth to lobby a Council for more money for youth hiring make sense?
They are already 50 % OVER BUDGET just giving youth “busy work” to stay out of trouble. Shouldn’t the PARENTS be doing that???
On Monday, District residents’ tax dollars went to pay Summer Youth Employment Program participants to attend a Council oversight session at which they lobbied for more funding for the program.
It’s just the latest outrage surrounding one of D.C.’s best-intentioned and worst-run programs.
SYEP, which hires about 20,000 D.C. youth for various minimum wage summer jobs, was budgeted at $ 22.7 million. But it’s already $ 11.5 million over budget — an overrun of 50 percent.
