Guns…Humans…Cartoon ‘Balloons’…Psychiatry…What Will Never Be?
Question by fognearcoast: Guns…Humans…Cartoon ‘Balloons’…Psychiatry…What will never be?
I believe the day will never and MUST never arrive that one man can truly “read or detect anothers innermost thoughts”, as though they were written above their heads in cartoon baloons. Should such a capability become reality, then people will truly be controlled by others. Given that we cannot know what another person may do, I believe the only serious effort we can make right now is much more draconian gun control. Each time these incidents occur, there is much crying and hand wringing and questions such as “How did this happen?” For God sake, they happen because THEY CAN. Guns are ruining our big cities, and offering criminal youth “programs” is a bloody joke
when each night they handle 10,000 dollars while driving Escaldes. They have no intent of joining the 9 to 5 world, and death apparently doesn’t mean much to them ( the violent) youth. Perhaps, when caught with a gun used violently and illegally, the holder of that weapon should be the ‘option’…to turn it on themselves

I seriously doubt whether such a great thing will ever happen in life or not.

The problem with gun control is it only works on law abiding citizens not criminals. I do agree that wide spread telepathy would be a disaster but draconian gun control would give more power to those who ignore the law anyway.
