How Can I Overcome a Food Addiction, Which Has No Reason Behind It?

Question by itchylegs: how can i overcome a food addiction, which has no reason behind it?
although most food addictions say the way to overcome it is to recognise the reason behind it – for example, unhappiness, boredom, stress.

it seems, although i am of a normal average weight, i just enjoy eating – in excess.

is there anyway i can deal with this food addiction?
