Question by : Is it commen for a recovering alcoholic to relapse?
The person has been a alcoholic for 35 yrs and has been sober for 7mths. Went to rehab for a month. Dosnt go to AA or have a sponsor. She does go to a women’s group once a week.

As with any addiction, relapse is a common occurrence and often normal in recovery, the point is overcoming it each time makes it easier for it not to happen again, or for it to at least be short lived.
