A family member of mine is currently high on meth. It has been almost 16 hours since he last used, and he was on a three day binge. What can I do (other than taking him to the hospital) to help get him to come down? (Water, sleep, ect?)

Take him to the hospital they might give him Adivan.

Get him some food. Some fun! I know a few adicts and the best cure sometimes is finding something else to occupy your time. Dont force someone to quit because then they might do it behind your back and overdose. Life is short! Go do something. Meth is not like heroine so the physical effects are minimal. If he is high now then go somewhere with out the pipe. Once he starts to come down feed him and put him to bed. (One bowl of Crystal usually only lasts for 12 hours) The next 3 weeks are the most important. He has to realize that there is a reason for him to be sober so show him what life is about.
