Two or more family members going to a judge for court order. Christian rehab is best. It will strip away all of the crap that goes along with addiction…..Everyone needs a good “brain-washing” through our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ! Try someplace like a “Potter’s House”…6-12 months will be needed to break away from the “scene”. I went to one in Athens, Ga and it was great experience….it saved my life…and gave me life!

He will have to go through the NJ screening process: one evaluation from a psychiatrist and one from a NJ screener. The basis for commitment is that he is in some way a threat to himself or to another. NJ does not yet have an outpatient commitment process.
You can call the screening center for your county or the county substance abuse administrator (through the county’s department of human services) for more information.
By calling a screening center, you can have someone come to his home to evaluate him or he can be brought to an ER for evaluation. The difficult part is establishing that he is a threat to himself. Have any possible evidence ready to give to the screeners. Feelings and concerns are valid, but they will be looking for evidence.
