How Do You Find a Psychiatrist That’s Good and Willing to Treat All Your Problems?

Question by Cantsleep222: How do you find a psychiatrist that’s good and willing to treat all your problems?
I am trying to find a new psychiatrist but after so many bad experiences I don’t trust them and I feel like picking a psychiatrist is just going to be like throwing a dart at a board and I don’t know who I’m going to get. How should I go about finding one and what if they’re bad? I don’t have insurance or a ton of money to keep trying different ones if they’re not a good fit. Any suggestions for pre-screening them?

Sounds to me like you are just not hearing what you want to hear from them. Working thru things with a psychiatrist can be painful and unpleasant at times, but jumping from one to another to another will get you nowhere but going backwards. Be patient with the one you have.

Answer by Deanna G
Try Prayer. God always wants you to talk to him and ask for his help. I suffered depression for over 20 years when people did not talk about such stuff. Asking God and just knowing he hears me and cares for me has helped immensely.
