Question by HermanjildoM: Whats wrong with saying Mental Hospital or Mental Institution?
My former supervisor once told me that people find the term “Mental Hospital” not to be politically correct. My last job before my current one was assisting mentally disabled adults? Why would it be wrong to say Mental Institution. I think its a lot easier than saying kook house, funny farm or anything along those lines.

I think it’s because the word ‘mental’ means mind. Therefore, it’s like saying ‘Mind hospital’ which doesn’t sound very correct.
