What Song Should I Use for This Short Film?
Question by Hello™: What song should I use for this short film?
I have to make a short film for school about “teenage substance abuse”. It’s a fictional movie where a guy overdoses and I need a song that either sounds really sad, or has lyrics slightly relevant to the topic.

The Verve – Drugs Don’t Work!
All this talk of getting old
It’s getting me down my love
Like a cat in a bag, waiting to drown
This time I’m comin’ down
And I hope you’re thinking of me
As you lay down on your side
Now the drugs don’t work
They just make you worse
But I know I’ll see your face again
Now the drugs don’t work
They just make you worse
But I know I’ll see your face again
Do You Think That This Person Gave Me Constructive Criticism or Destructive Criticism?
Question by chocolate: Do you think that this person gave me constructive criticism or destructive criticism?
So I joined a church one day and from the outset, a guy there kept on giving me criticism. He went behind my back to get a friend to post on their website that I had to “change clothes, do my hair, wear better makeup, lose weight”. None of this has ever been said straight to my face, which I take as offensive because if a person was sincere, this person should risk losing face on front of me by saying it to my face and take responsibility for their words. The church members wanted me to go out with him, even though I did not like him very much but b ecause I was suffering from severe depression I desperately wanted to have a companion and not be lonely. I went out with him as a friend, but afterwards, he told the ENTIRE youth group what had happened. Even the church deacon called me up and said, “I am going to teach you how to act accordingly and properly” (I was like, WTF, I never said ANYTHING that was offensive). The church deacon told me that I had to quit talking politics or intellectual topics with the boy, that he was “expecting something from me” even though he wasn’t saying anything, and that I had to learn to “help people and give to them”. I was pissed at the fact that this deacon was trying to mother me in some way and meddle in my personal privacy, and got pissed still more at th efact that the guy was a blabbermouth who wasn’t really that hot at all but he had to share everything that was going on between him and me. I checked his friend’s website, and his website directed statements at me, saying that I had to “be more feminine, less stubborn, be less assertive, and that I should not be too intelligent as a woman”.

Need Help on How to Sing on a Computer?
Question by H M O O B Y A J: Need help on how to sing on a computer?
Ok guys/girls,
I need help!
So I am wanting to sing a cover of this song on my laptop and I am quite troubled on how other people do it.
I was thinking of just ordering an USB mic online and then playing the music from my laptop speakers and singing it while using sound recorder.
But I see that people use… “programs” to capture their voice.
I am very confuse. I want the best sound quality I can get.
Do you guys know any programs that I can record with and still play an instrumental in the background and sing to it?
I’m NOT SURE exactly on how these things work because I was never thought I was ever going to do this.. I am very experienced with computers etc.
But microphones and music.. I am not that good with.
Please help. :(
